Fred Lewis did not appear yesterday to answer the charge against him in the Criminal Court, and, as a consequence, his bonds were declared forfeited and a capias was issued, on which he was arrested last night, and placed in the custody of the City Marshal.-St. Louis Globe-Democrat, July 8, 1884
